Use HunchKey for your own writing, read suggestions before you keep them, and don’t misuse the service. Your words stay yours.
The basics
01Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“HunchKey”, “we”). By creating an account or using the desktop app, website or web dashboard, you agree to them. If you use HunchKey for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.
02Who can use HunchKey
You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract where you live.
03Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at [support email] if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for activity on it.
Using HunchKey
04Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use HunchKey on computers you control, for as long as you have an account and follow these terms. Please don’t copy, resell, reverse engineer or try to get around HunchKey’s limits or security, except where the law allows it.
05Acceptable use
- Don’t use HunchKey to break the law, harass people, or create spam, malware or deceptive content.
- Don’t use it where the rules of an exam, platform or employer forbid writing assistance.
- Don’t overload or disrupt the service, or access it other than through our apps and published interfaces.
06Your content
What you write, and the suggestions you keep, are yours. You give us permission to process the text and screen context you send only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. We don’t use it to train models.
07About AI suggestions
Suggestions are generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Read them before you keep them; you’re responsible for what you send or publish. Don’t rely on HunchKey for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.
08Permissions and other apps
HunchKey needs accessibility access, and screen recording access if you use screen context, to read the field you’re in and type what you accept. Other apps may limit what HunchKey can read. We’re not responsible for third-party apps or how they handle text inserted into them.
Plans and billing
09Plans
HunchKey is currently offered as an early edition. Your plan and usage are shown in the web dashboard. Features, limits and availability may change while HunchKey is in early access.
10Fees
If we introduce paid plans, we’ll show the price and terms before you buy and you’ll only be charged after you agree. Paid-plan details, including renewals, cancellations and refunds, will be set out at that time.
Legal
11Disclaimer
HunchKey is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, HunchKey is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
13Ending your use
You can stop using HunchKey and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or to protect the service or other people, with notice where reasonable.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use HunchKey after that means you accept the new terms.
15Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by [Governing law and courts], except where the law of your country gives you protections that can’t be waived. Questions: [support email].
